The Perth Mint does not disclose personal information about any of its customers to any unrelated third party businesses. We do not sell, rent, lease, loan, trade or otherwise divulge the addresses on our lists to unrelated third parties or any unauthorised personnel.

Information may be disclosed to authorised government and legal authorities, and authorised contractors conducting business on behalf of the Mint and its customers.

The Mint takes privacy very seriously, and only uses ecommerce and internet products endorsed or recommended by the major banking and technology sector organisations. Furthermore, it follows industry recommended best practice procedures and continually upgrades and improves the methods used on this website.

Personal information, such as your name and e-mail address, is collected only to record and process information, and, if you chose to join the Young Collectors Club, to keep you informed of new product releases, competitions and other events.

Information about IP addresses, web browsers, and computer operating systems are automatically transmitted to web servers as an integral part of the operation of the internet. This information is used for demographic purposes as a technical resource to better serve web site users. Data is analysed for trends and statistics, and then discarded. Our Web site logs are not personally identifiable and we make no attempt to link them with the individuals that actually browsed the site. For security purposes, network management and to improve our service we use software and third party services to monitor network traffic, detect unauthorised and malicious access of the site, and determine the effectiveness of our site structure.

Personal information provided to The Perth Mint Online Shop is encoded using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, a powerful encryption protocol that protects data as it travels over the Internet. For enhanced security, we recommend using the latest Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers, which enable SSL. Visitors can request to join a mailing list by completing a form on this site. We maintain this list to inform them of new information on this Web site. We do not sell, rent, lease, loan, trade or otherwise divulge the addresses on our lists to third parties or any unauthorised personnel.

The Perth Mint complies with the Spam Act 2003 and best practice guidelines in relation to the contents of its commercial electronic messages. The Mint only sends e-mail advertising with each addressee's consent, includes its address and contact details in every e-mail promotion, and ensures the inclusion of a functional unsubscribe facility.

 

Terms & Conditions “Word Search Puzzle” Competition

 

  1. The Word Search Competition runs till 1. February 2009
  2. Successful completion of the word search grid allows the invitation of up to 5 friends via email, each of which will result in another entry to the original entrant.
  3. No more than 6 entries will be awarded per person.
  4. The random draw will be held at The Perth Mint on the 2. February 2008
  5. A total of 25 prizes will be awarded randomly. The first three winners drawn will receive one complete album each, winners 4 and 5 one starter kit each, and winners 6-25 one randomly selected single animal coin.
  6. Winning entrants will be informed via email and must reply with their delivery address details no later than 15. February 2009.
  7. The Perth Mint's decision in all matters final.
  8. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

Terms & Conditions "Win a Trip to Sydney Wildelife World"

The competition is being run by Gold Corporation (ABN 49 230 812 547), operator of The Perth Mint.
 
Prize Details and Conditions
1.            Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within the promotional materials for this competition form part of the Terms and Conditions of entry.
2.            The winner of the draw will receive a return trip for two adults and two children (under the age of 18) to Sydney flying economy class from their nearest Australian city, including two nights four star accommodation in Sydney, admission for the family (two adults and two children) at the Sydney Wildlife World and Sydney Aquarium and one Animal Adventure for the family. No portion of this prize can be redeemed for cash.  The overall value is up to $4,000.
3.            The Perth Mint and all competition partners accept no responsibility for any variation in prize value between the publishing date and the date the prize is redeemed.
4.            All other costs and expenses associated with the competition prize, beyond the specified components, will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
5.            The prize winner will be responsible for any and all taxes incurred in relation to the receipt of their prize.
6.            Substitute prizes will not be available, should the prize winner be unable to use the prize during the allocated time frame.
7.            Upon receipt of the prize, the winner is required to abide by the independent Terms and Conditions of all partners of this competition, which are as follows:
7.1 Travel Voucher Conditions
7.1.1 The travel must commence by Tuesday 30 June 2009. Travel vouchers will not be valid after this date and cannot be extended.
7.1.2 Any changes to tickets after issue will incur a service fee per person – immediately payable to the flight provider by the passenger(s).
7.1.3 Travel vouchers are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods & services. 
7.1.4 Travel vouchers are valid for flights to a single destination only. Stopovers are not permitted.
7.1.5 It is recommended that travel insurance be taken when embarking on travel.
 
Competition Duration
8.            The competition commences 31 July 2008 (South Australia starting on 15 August 2008).
9.            Submission of entries for the competition close at midnight on Sunday 14 December 2008.
10.       No late entries will be eligible.
 
 
 
Method of Entry
11.       To be eligible to enter the competition, participants must join the Young Collectors Club via the Young Collectors website www.youngcollectors.com.au prior to the closing date.
12.       Employees of The Perth Mint and their respective immediate families are ineligible to enter.
13.       The prize can only be won by one person.
14.       Only one entry valid per person.
15.       If the winner is under the age of 18, the prize must be awarded to the winner’s parent/guardian.
 
Judging
16.       Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all Terms and Conditions.
17.       The prize winner will be randomly selected at The Perth Mint, located at 310 Hay Street, East Perth 6004 at 10am (WST) on Monday 15 December 2008. If the person selected is otherwise ineligible, another will be selected. The first eligible entry selected will be deemed the winner of the competition draw.
18.       The Perth Mint’s decision in all matters relating to the draw will be final, with no correspondence or discussions entered into.
 
Winner Notification
19.       The prize winner will be notified by telephone and/or will receive confirmation by mail/e-mail. The prize winner’s name will be published on the Young Collectors website www.youngcollectors.com.au on 15 December 2008.
20.       It is the responsibility of the prize winner to collect his or her prize.
21.        If unclaimed, the prize will be redrawn on 16 March 2009 at 1pm (WST), at the Perth Mint located at 310 Hay Street, East Perth 6004.
22.       The prize winner is required to abide by the Terms and Conditions as presented.
 
Publicity
23.       The Perth Mint has the right to publicise the name of the prize winner and their suburb of residence in any promotional material, including advertisements, editorial, The Perth Mint’s members newsletter ‘The Numismatic Post’ and on The Perth Mint website www.perthmint.com.au and/or the Young Collectors website www.youngcollectors.com.au
24.       The prize winner may be required by The Perth Mint to participate in a photographic session and acknowledges that The Perth Mint has the authority to reproduce the publicity photographs in any medium (including, without limitation, the internet), for any reasonable matter.
25.       The prize winner agrees to make themselves available for reasonable publicity purposes without charge.
26.       We wish to waiver the right for publishing winners in a newspaper as entry is only via the website and winners will be published on the website.
27.     The prize winner’s name will be published in ‘The Australian’ newspaper on 18 December 2008.
 
 
Indemnity and Disclaimer
27.       The Perth Mint and all competition partner companies and personnel accept no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss or expense, injury or damage to any individual or property, whether direct or indirect, unforeseeable or foreseeable whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with participation in the competition and/or acceptance of any prize, either during or after the competition.
28.       Neither The Perth Mint or any competition partner company or personnel will be responsible or liable if, for any reason beyond their reasonable control, any element of any prize is not provided. The Perth Mint, may at their absolute discretion, substitute a different portion of any prize referred to in these Terms and Conditions.
29.       Neither The Perth Mint or any competition partner company or personnel will be liable to any person for any loss or damage if the competition is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity.
 
Privacy
30.       The personal information supplied by the entrant to participate in the competition will be used by The Perth Mint to conduct the competition, convey its results, and to contact the prize winner.
31.       Any personal information and/or details which an entrant provides to The Perth Mint as part of the competition will not be sold, rented, loaned, or otherwise disclosed to any third party for any purpose whatsoever. However, the entrant’s personal information will be added to The Perth Mint promotional database to receive future promotional materials, unless otherwise stipulated on the competition entry form.
 
Reserved Rights
32.       The Perth Mint and its competition partners reserve the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason whatsoever.
33.       In all matters, all decisions of The Perth Mint will be final and cannot be contested.
34.       The Perth Mint reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time and/or cancel the competition at any stage. 
35.       The Perth Mint assumes no responsibility of any error, omission, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communication, theft or destruction of unauthorised alteration of entries.
